Psalm 63

Good morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! When I stepped outside this morning, the sky was full of clouds and I thought maybe we would get some rain, but now the sun is shining, and nearly all the clouds are gone, so in God's timing, I think the rain will come. We are very dry right now and fire danger is high.

Yesterday, I was able to take time to get a walk in, and felt much better for it. I stopped at the first shelter to look for the babies, but did not see them. However, Mama was hiding in her usual spot off to the side, almost hidden in the bushes. So I walked on out to the tower and had my jacket zipped up because the chilly wind was really blowing off the lake. I watched two anhingas, one looking like it was posed on the water in the lake, drying its wings, actually, it was on a branch which was not visible to me, and the other was close by in a mangrove bush. As I watched, the anhinga took off right down into the water, gliding very quietly, and then came up for air, and went down again right away. God is good!

As I walked back, I stopped at the shelter again, and could just see a small head under the floor of the shelter, but could not see mama, so I guess the babies were still there, and trying to keep warm in the water, which was probably warmer than the air!

From the Promise Bible NLT:

Psalm 65

What mighty praise, O God, belongs to you in Zion.
We will fulfill our vows to you, for you answer our prayers,
and to you all people will come.
Though our hearts are filled with sins, you forgive them all.
What joy for those you choose to bring near,
those who live in your holy courts.
What joys await us inside your Holy Temple.

You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds,
O God our Savior.
You are the hope of everyone on earth,
even those who sail on distant seas.
You formed the mountains by your power,
and armed yourself with mighty strength.
You quieted the raging oceans with their pounding waves,
and silenced the shouting of the nations.
Those who live at the ends of the earth
stand in awe of your wonders.
From where the sun rises to where it sets,
you inspire shouts of joy.

You take care of the earth and water it,
making it rich and fertile.
The rivers of God will not run dry,
they provide a bountiful harvest of grain,
for you have ordered it so.
You drench the plowed ground with rain,
melting the clods and leveling the ridges.
You soften the earth with showers and bless its abundant crops.
You crown the year with a bountiful harvest:
the wilderness becomes a lush pasture,
and the hillsides blossom with joy.
The meadows are clothed with flocks of sheep,
and the valleys are carpeted with grain.
They all shout and sing for joy!

I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love,

Love and hugs,
Amaryllis
