Good morning, Dear friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! Well, it's a little cloudy and overcast this morning, but I went to sleep with the sound of thunder in my ears and flashes of lightning through the drapes. Nice. I didn't think we got any of the rain, though, but the porch was wet and so was the yard, so we got a little , anyway. That was good because we have not had any for a week.
I spent a lazy afternoon yesterday, mostly resting and reading. Oh, yes, I watched the Rays beat the Yankees, too!! I went to the park after church, but not a lot of people were out...mostly parents with little ones. Since there is no playground, most of the older kids don't come, but there is plenty of nature to see if they are interested. During school time, if you know the teacher, you might get invited in to see the interesting critters; some alive and some stuffed, in the classroom. She also usually has snakes, spiders and when Francia was the teacher, she always had screech owls, who had various disabilities , in their cages. So cute!
But I just saw the usual squirrels, and ibises and egrets yesterday. Oh, yes, I heard and then saw the red-headed woodpecker in our oak tree again, yesterday. God is good!
From The Message:
Psalm 113
Hallelujah!
You who serve God, praise God!
Just to speak his name is praise!
Just to remember God is a blessing-
now, and tomorrow and always.
From east to west, from dawn to dusk,
keep lifting all your praises to God!
God is higher than anything and anyone
outshining everything you can see in the skies.
Who can compare with God, our God
so majestically enthroned,
Surveying his magnificent
heavens and earth?
He picks up the poor from out of the dirt,
rescues the wretched who've been thrown out with the trash,
Seats them among the honored guests,
a place of honor among the brightest and best.
He gives childless couples a family.
gives them joy as the parents of children.
Hallelujah!
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!
Love and hugs,
amaryllis
