Good morning, Dear friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! Well, our evening rainstorm turned out to be just a few sprinkles and never did get started into a full-fledged shower, but that's okay because our gutters are still running full of water.
I watched a squirrel in the yard with his mouth full of something, waiting for me to put the car in the garage, and then he raced up the tree to either eat whatever or stash it away. I couldn't tell what it was. Sometimes they eat toadstools and other times they leave them alone. They seem to know which ones are not good.
I saw a large flock of ibis on a berm in the park yesterday, but they were at a distance, and they really looked pink. Maybe that was just wishful thinking on my part, because I haven't seen any roseate spoonbills lately. The weeds and grass is really overgrown there at the park, so it is past time for the mowing crew to get in and busy. The animals don't seem to mind, though, especially the gophers and the squirrels. The clouds were dark and threatening while I was there, so I did not linger long. But God is good!
From the NIV Ephesians 3:14-21:
For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom the whole family of believers in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Crist may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations for ever and ever!
