Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! The fog has mostly burned off, and the sun is not too bright, yet, but today will be as warm as it was yesterday. My, we went from winter right into spring! It was almost 80 when I came out of church, and today looks like the same!
Speaking of church, we were privileged to hear our missionaries from France, speak about their time in Congo. We have been praying for and supporting them for thirty years. I remember when they came 8 or 9 years ago, and surprisingly, John Kerl remembered me!
Well, I watched the Super Bowl and the team I was rooting for, won! I really was not too excited about either team, but was for the underdog. I was mostly watching for the commercials, since they are always muted when I watch any other show! I especially liked the Tebow commercial, which showed that he has a sense of humor and can sell anything!
My yardmen have come and gone already and the front porch was leaf free for about two minutes. I have one azalea bush blooming already and since the crape myrtle was trimmed drastically some months ago, it has new growth about two feet tall growing on the top. I think it will bloom pretty well later on!
The park was really crowded yesterday, since the weather was so nice, but because of the crowds, the animals and birds were absent from all the activity, but God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
2 Corinthians 5:18-21
All this newness of life is from God, who
brought us back to himself through what
Christ did. And God has given us the task of
reconciling people to him. For God, was in Christ,
reconciling the world to himself, no longer
counting people's sins against them. This is the
wonderful message he has given us to tell others.
We are Christ's ambassadors, and God is using us
to speak to you. We urge you, as though Christ
himself were pleading with you, "Be reconciled
to God!" For God made Christ, who never sinned,
to be the offering for our sin, so that we could
be made right with God through Christ.
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers
with thanksgiving, joy and love!
Love and hugs,
Amaryllis
