Isaiah

Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! It has been overcast except for a brief few moments of sun, but the weather is still very warm, so my A/C has been on to get the humidity out of the house.

Well, the only one who did not come yesterday was the pest control man and he is coming today. Otherwise, I was able to get to the doc's appointment on time and got called in after only a five minute wait! I always enjoy talking to my doctor. He takes time to find out my interests, how I am able to do what around the house, and we even talked about John Grisham's latest book, which he is now reading. Sycamore Row sounds like one I should read. I think through conversation, he is able to diagnose a lot about the mind and body. Since insurance requires it, I will be going through a lot of tests in the near future. Sigh.

After I left him, I did some shopping before going home and loaded up on things I need. I still have to go to the grocery store before long, but went over to the park, and was surprised at the number of people visiting. I saw a van load of Amish visitors getting ready to go for a walk. They were outstanding in their dress and easy to spot.

I noticed two ibis perched in an oak tree hanging over the water and a black, wet turtle on the bank of the weir. God is good!

From the Promise Bible NLT:

Isaiah 40:28-31
Have you never heard or understood? Don't you know
that the Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth?
He never grows faint or weary. No one can measure the
depths of his understanding. He gives power to those who
are tired and worn out; he offers strength to the weak.
Even youths will become exhausted and young men will
give up. But those who wait on the Lord will find new
strength. They will fly high on wings like eagles. They
will run and not grow weary. They will run and not faint.

I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with
thanksgiving, joy and love.

Love and hugs,
Amaryllis
