Roamin' thru Romans

Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! We have the same weather as yesterday; heat and sun, but the promise of fall is coming. Next month the leaves on some trees will start to fall, and the air will dry out. This usually happens about Halloween; and so, we wait..

I took a ride around the neighborhood yesterday and went by the burned out house.. I had seen it burning from up in the air, via the helicopter, but was just curious about it, and yes, I felt a little guilty being just a sight seer. The clean up truck was already there, but I don't see how anyone could go inside because it looks like the roof could collapse any time. I read a tiny article in the Times that said a resident and a firefighter were injured, but no word on their condition. I pray they are all right.

I know of two other houses that have burned since I have lived in this area...one right next door back in the seventies. That one started in the garage from a car the teenager was working on. That was a big one, but it didn't take long for the house to be restored. Since then, it has changed hands a couple times.

I took a ride through the Park and saw a couple large tree trucks, working on the oaks near the entrance, but they still have not taken care of the huge stump left by the fallen tree near the entrance bridge. There were only four cars near the building  and a couple parked in the circle, so all was quiet. God is good!

From the Promise Bible NLT:

Romans 5:1-5
Therefore, since we have been made right
in God's sight by faith, we have peace with
God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord
has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ
has brought us into this place of highest
privilege where we now stand, and we confidently
and joyfully look forward to sharing God's glory.

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and
trials, for we know that they are good for us---they
help us learn to endure. And endurance develops
strength of character in us, and character strengthens
our confident expectation of salvation. And this expectation
will not disappoint us. For we know how dearly God
loves us , because he has given us the Holy Spirit
to fill our hearts with his love.

I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!

Love and hugs,
 Amaryllis
