Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners and Happy first day of fall! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! Maybe the highs are one degree lower, but other than that, I can' feel any difference in the temps. Next month will be the changing time!
My cleaning ladies came yesterday and we had a good visit and catching up on the neighborhood goings on, We are puzzled about the condition of the neighbor to the north of me. Paramedics were there a couple evenings ago, but they come frequently. The mother is not well, but the two sons live there, and they recently lost the daughter, who was in her forties and never recovered from an auto accident. They keep to themselves and are not friendly with anyone around them, so we are at a loss as to how to help them, should they need it. Just about all we can do is pray.
This morning, I decided to take my shower before retrieving the paper and turning out the porch light, so, just as I was making my way to the front door to turn off the light, Cheryl called from across the street wanting to know if I slept late. I assured her I was on my way to the door and was just running a little late. It is good to have a caring friend who checks up on me!
Well, there is a dessert get together at church today, but I have an appointment, so I will have to miss it! Boo! I am sure it will be a good time! God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Romans 8:35-37
Can anything separate us from Christ's love? Does it mean
he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity or
are persecuted , or are hungry or cold or in danger or
threatened with death? (Even the Scriptures say, "For your sake
we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.")
No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours
through Christ who loved us.
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!
Love and hugs,
Amaryllis
