Good morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! Wow! Have you stepped outside yet? It is a cool 68 and finally really feels like fall! The rain-washed sky was filled with stars twinkling in all their beauty and Venus was glowing in the high eastern sky. There was a full moon last night, but it must be in the west now, because I couldn't see it.

We so enjoyed the rain yesterday. I noticed the grass in the Park already has greened up and so has ours. I saw three peacocks on the way in the park and a strange water bird that I didn't recognize. I haven't looked it up in my Peterson Guide, yet. God is so good!

From the Promise Bible NLT:

Does God have a purpose for my life?

2 Timothy 1:9 "It is God who saved us and chose us to live a holy life. He did this not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan long before the world began-to show his love and kindness to us through Christ Jesus."

Our purpose in life is rooted in God's eternal plan to redeem us and make us new creations in Christ for his glory and for his service.

John 15:16 "You didn't choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce fruit that will last, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name."

As we pursue our purpose in Christ, he promises that our lives will have lasting significance and eternal results.

1 Corinthians 15:58 "My dear brothers and sisters, be strong and steady , always enthusiastic about the Lord's work, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless."

As we pursue our God-given purpose, we do not get discouraged even when it seems that nothing is happening. God wastes nothing.

I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!

Love and hugs,
Amaryllis
