Psoaring thru Psalm 119

Good morning, Dear friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! It's sort of a strange morning, weather wise. We have already had a gentle shower, but the sun is shining amidst all the puffy, white clouds scudding across the sky.

Nothing compares to Saturday and the torrential downpour that came down in this neighborhood. Never have I seen so much water fall in so short a time! Thunder, lightning, and rain. The street in front was almost totally covered in water! It drains off quickly, but that means it runs downhill, so the streets all around must have been flooded for a short time. Lots of washouts in the dirt at the construction site of Lynch school. I noticed the workers, even yesterday, were repairing the damage to the entrance roads. Very strange. It was just localized in this area.

Seems like this wet weather is bringing outside critters, inside. I took a shower yesterday morning with a baby lizard clinging to the shower door on the outside, not with me! I spoke to a baby frog when I took the dumpster down to the curb yesterday evening. And another baby bird was lying dead in front of the garage door. Maybe a hawk got it. So sad.

I stopped in at the park and it looked like no rain had fallen there, which is strange, since it is only a mile away. But I saw a pretty anhinga, and, of course, the ibis pecking around. God is good!

From the Promise Bible NLT:

Psalm 119

Happy are people of integrity,
who follow the law of the Lord.
Happy are those who obey his decrees
and search for him with all their hearts.
They do not compromise with evil
and they walk only in his paths.
You have charged us
to keep your commandments carefully.
Oh, that my actions would consistently
reflect your principles!
Then I will not be disgraced
when I compare my life with your commands.
When I learn your righteous laws,
I will thank you by living as I should!
I will obey your principles.
Please don't give up on me!

How can a young person stay pure?
By obeying your word and following its rules.
I have tried my best to find you--
don't let me wander from your commands.
I have hidden your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you.

I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!

Love and hugs,
 Amaryllis
