Learning from Luke

Good Morning, dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! Wow! I was not expecting a lot of fog this morning, but that is what greeted me when I looked out. Then I watched the traffic reports and visibility was down to almost zero on the bridges, so there were accidents, of course, including one fatality and a truck carrying liquor overturned, spilling a lot of alcohol all over! Lots of work for the troopers and first responders! I give thanks for them in their work!

I went shopping yesterday and found some bargains at Beall's , but they always have sales. I just got a little extra off because of Senior Day. There are perks to being a senior! Then I drove out to get gas and was disappointed to find that gas had jumped up overnight. But, since I only buy gas about once a month, I can't complain too much!

I stopped by the Park on my way and saw quite a few cars and people walking around enjoying the great weather. I almost had to stop for a frisky squirrel who decided to dare me by stopping for a second in front of me as he dashed across the road! A lone anhinga was sunning on the weir and a great blue heron was near him. God is good!

From the Promise Bible NLT:

Luke 12:22-31

Then, turning to his disciples, Jesus said, " So I tell you, don't worry about everyday
life, whether you have enough food to eat, or enough clothes to wear. For life consists of more than food and clothing. Look at the ravens. They don't need to plant or harvest or put food in barns, because God feeds them. And you are far more
valuable to him than any birds! Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? Of course not!  And if worry can't do little things like that, what's the use of worrying about bigger things?

Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don't work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, won't he more surely care for you? You have so little faith !....

He will give you all you need from day to day if you make the Kingdom of God your primary concern.

I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!

Love and hugs,
 Amaryllis
