Roamin' thru Romans

Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! We already have clouds and sun, but if the pattern is the same as yesterday, we will have an early rain.

I missed church yesterday, because I was all ready to go, even though it was raining lightly, when all of a sudden there was a downpour!  I don't mind driving in a light rain, but not a downpour, and I could not be certain that it would have stopped by the time I reached church. So, that is my excuse. Pastor Kevin was not there, anyway, as he was still in Chicago for the annual meeting.. But I did miss seeing all my friends.

I found another box of pictures and was surprised at some of the long forgotten snapshots I discovered. Some from a trip we took in '91 to visit my Uncle Dan in AL and then on to NC and the mountains! There were also pics of our visit to Amish Country in IN and Grandpa's farm and the cemetery near it where some family members are buried. I have a couple more boxes to go through, but it takes a lot of time. My recently discovered cousin in England will be interested, also.

I indulged yesterday and bought a couple donuts at Krispy Kreme..a glazed and a cream filled chocolate. Very effectively shooting down my healthy diet, but oh, so good! I did not eat both right away. I saved one for this morning. (says she, trying to sound virtuous).
I drove over to the Park later in the day, and quite a few cars were parked, so many people were out enjoying the freshness after the rain. God is good!

From the Promise Bible NLT:

Romans 8:24-28
...Now that we are saved, we eagerly look forward to this freedom.
For if you already have something, you don't need
to hope for it. But if we look forward to something
we don't have yet, we must wait patiently and confidently.

And the Holy Spirit helps us in our distress. For we don't
even know what we should pray for, nor how we should
pray. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that
cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all
hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads
for us believers in harmony with God's own will. And we
know that God causes everything to work together for the
good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving
joy and love!

Love and hugs,
 Amaryllis
