Psoaring thru Psalm 91

Good Morning, Dear  Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! We have lots of sunshine and not much promise of rain, but the breeze right now is cool, even though we will be hot again this afternoon.

My yard man came early yesterday morning, before I even had a chance to shower, or send an email, but even though everything looked good and cleaned off when he got through, today the leaves are all over the driveway and a few on the porch. I don't know why they are falling now, when all of the new leaves are back on the trees. Sigh. One of the mysteries of nature...

I had the TV on a lot yesterday, watching the horrific coverage of the tragedy in Boston. Just incomprehensible to me how someone could do that! One thing I have noticed is that people who usually do not speak of God, except maybe in inappropriate ways, are now saying thoughts and prayers are with the people affected. And pray for Boston is another popular slogan! Too bad it takes a situation like this to remind people that God is in control. But, even through man made disasters like this, God is Good!

From the Promise Bible NLT:

Psalm 91
Those who live in the shelter of the most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty
This I declare of the Lord;
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
He is my God and I am trusting him.
For he will rescue you from every trap,
and will protect you from the fatal plague.
He will shield you with his wings.
He will shelter you with his feathers.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
nor fear the dangers of the day;
nor dread the plague that stalks in darkness,
nor the disaster that strikes at midday.
Though a thousand fall at your side,
though ten thousand are dying around you,
these evils will not touch you.
But you will see it with your eyes.
You will see how the wicked are punished.

I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers
with thanksgiving, joy and love!

Love and hugs,
Amaryllis
