A Prayer

Good morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! When I stepped outside this morning, the half moon was almost hidden by cloud cover, and no stars were visible. The wind is quite cool, and, although it is supposed to warm up to eighty today, right now it is cool enough for a light cover outside.

When I took a banana peel out to the staghorn a while ago, the squirrel family was busy circling round and round the oak, but they stopped to sit up and look at me, so I came in and got some peanuts and went back out. The biggest one came and got the peanut, the second one looked and looked and I finally had to throw it right in front of him, before he got it. The little hyper one was so busy chasing round and round the tree, I don't think he ever found the peanut, right at the base. They are fun to watch.

The Park was full of people when we drove in, after Louis' doctor appointment with the dermatologist. Looked like a family reunion under the shelter. But the tri-colored heron was busy looking for a fish, and the beautiful great white egret was alongside the heron , also looking. God is good!

I got ambitious yesterday and baked brownies with a kick. I put a can of chilies in the mix --the recipe was from a book I am reading. They are different all right. But I also put together an Angel Lush cake, which is more to my liking. Never hurts to try something new!

From Hymns For the Family of God:

Eternal Heavenly Father, we know that You are more eager to hear our prayers than we are to pray them, and more concerned to respond to them than we expect You to be. Forgive us now with that complete pardon that eases the troubled conscience and replaces its sharp torment with a permanent peace. This we ask that Your risen Son may be more alive among us.
Amen

I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!

Love and hugs,
Amaryllis
