State of my health

Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it!

This is just a note to let you who don't know, that I had plastic surgery (Mohs surgery) on my nose Jan. 7, to remove basal cell carcinomas. After I got home, the next day, I started sneezing and later coughing, which was so severe, I could not sleep. I went to the doctor, and they diagnosed bronchitis. I was already on the Z-Pak antibiotic to prevent infection because of the surgery, so was told to get muscinex (?) to loosen it up. By Sat. I was no better, so I called my doc. on call and he said to go to the Doctor's Walk In Clinic on 4th St,. which Brian drove me to. That doctor took x-rays and said go to the hospital for lab work. We went to Bayfront and Sat. night at the ER is interesting. When the doctor advised me to be admitted, I protested, but finally consented. So, around 11:30 PM they secured a bed and diagnosed pneumonia.

After missing the Packers game and having my birthday in the hospital, with no bath for 4 and a half days, I was ready to go home. The dozens of different nurses and techs who cared for me, have my gratitude and thanks for all they did. I had laughs with some, and commiserated with some. Most of them work very hard, some more than others. I even had a good time with the housekeeper, a big black man who brightened the halls with his singing of hymns.

I am home now, with caregivers for a few hours each day, but am getting stronger and hope to be back to normal in another week.

Thank you for all who prayed for me. God was busy with me and millions of others, but he is the Great Physician!

God is good!

Love and hugs,
 Amaryllis
