Living to Please others

Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! Our weather continues to be almost perfect with lots of sunshine and cool breezes. It got a little warm yesterday afternoon, so the A/C cycled on, but mornings are great!

Cheryl, half of my cleaning team, came yesterday and we had a nice visit while she worked. She carried all her equipment over from her house across the street, instead of driving. I had to laugh at her, because she really had her hands full, including a mop and bucket!

After she left, I got ready to go to the library and gather up more books, then took a cruise through the park. I saw an anhinga stretching out its wings on the weir, and nearby, a great blue heron was stalking a fish in the canal. A cute squirrel was sitting up nibbling on an acorn, as I continued on down into the park.

While I was sitting at the pc yesterday morning, I watched a pretty little black and yellow striped butterfly flit by . I did not look it up online, but will try to remember to do that today. And, I also noticed that the tiny mangoes on the tree next door, must have fallen off, because they are no longer visible on the tree. :0( When I was at Sweetbay a couple days ago, I saw the osprey nest high on a light pole and the occupant had just flown in. God is good!

From the Promise Bible NLT:

Romans 15:2
We should please others. If we do what helps them,
we will build them up in the Lord. For even Christ
didn't please himself. As the Scriptures say, "Those who
insult you, are also insulting me." Such things were
written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us.
They give us hope and encouragement as we wait for
God's promises.

May God, who gives this patience and encouragement,
help you live in complete harmony with each other--each
with the attitude of Christ Jesus toward the other. Then all
of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and
glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers
with thanksgiving, joy and love!

Love and hugs,
 Amaryllis
