Psoaring thru Psalm 37

Good morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! When I stepped outside this morning in the chilly air, I could see clearly, because it was almost daylight. I am not used yet to this time change.
And it was almost dark at 6 last evening, mostly because of the clouds, but, anyway, we could use the 49 hour weekend!

We saw a fat shiny gator sunning himself on the banks of the lake yesterday, but I didn't get a chance to walk, because of the fine sprinkle that seemed to fall all day. I prayed for rain and God answered, but not in abundance!

We only had one knock on the door for Halloween, although we have lots more kids in the neighborhood than last year. I set the goodies out in a basket and they helped themselves. Last year we had no trick or treaters at all, but some people are transient.

Terry is back from his working vacation in Virginia... said he cut down 200 trees on his bro-in-laws property. Some retirement!! It was good to see him!

Our Beauty Berry bush in the backyard is really attracting the mockingbirds! It is full of fat, purple berries. I think of the days when I used to hang sheets on the line to dry, and did not appreciate purple berries! But God is good!

From the Promise Bible NLT:

Don't worry about the wicked.
Don't envy those who do wrong.
For like grass, they soon fade away.
Like springtime flowers, they soon wither.

Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.
Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you your heart's desires.

Commit everything you do to the Lord,
Trust him, and he will help you.
He will make your innocence as clear as the dawn,
and the justice of your cause will shine
like the noonday sun.

Be s till in the presence of the Lord,
and wait patiently for him to act.
Don't worry about evil people who prosper
or fret about their wicked schemes.

Stop your anger!
Turn from your rage!
Do not envy others---
it only leads to harm.
For the wicked will be destroyed
but those who trust in the Lord will
possess the land....

It is better to be godly and have little
than to be evil and possess much.
For the strength of the wicked will be shattered
but the Lord takes care of the godly.

I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!

Love and hugs,
A
