Psoaring thru Psalms

Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! We have had such beautiful weather the past few days...seems like October is the month where windows are open some days, because the humidity drops, but then in the late afternoon, the  A/C kicks in because of the heat. But I'll take it!

I can tell it is fall, because the leaves are starting to fall, along with the acorns, and the squirrels are building nests. One of the nests is right over the end of the driveway, and I think that there are more twigs on the ground, than in the nest! I suppose the little critters will be hoarding acorns, too.

Well, good news at church yesterday! We have a candidate coming for the senior pastor position. It has been nine months since Pastor Rick left, but the search committee has been diligent. We will have to decide if this is the person that God has in mind for us. We need great wisdom!

I drove through the park, Saturday and Sunday, and saw a very large gator sunning on the bank near the weir, and yesterday saw an anhinga airing out his wings on the weir.
Down further, by the parking lot, the large tortoise was just climbing into his tunnel. An ibis was pecking around on the berm and picnic areas, and everything was very peaceful. God is good!

From the Promise Bible NLT:

Psalm 37:3-9
Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.
Take delight in the Lord and he will
give you your heart's desires.

Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust him and he will help you.
He will make your innocence as clear as the dawn
and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday dawn.

Be still in the presence of the Lord and wait patiently for him to act.
Don't worry about evil people who prosper
or fret about their evil schemes.

Stop your anger!
Turn from your rage!
Do not envy others---
it only leads to harm.
For the wicked will be destroyed
but those who trust in the Lord
will possess the land.

I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving,
joy and love!

Love and hugs,
 Amaryllis
