Psoaring thru Psalm 5

Good morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! Yesterday was a beautiful day with the rain coming in the morning, instead of evening. at least, it rained in this part of town. As I was leaving for my radiation treatment, I could see heavy rain falling in the east, but I was heading west, so the big drops splattered on me only for a couple blocks. I outran it! :o)

I saw flocks of ibis alongside the road, but no roseates this time. However when I drove in the park, I watched a graceful egret stretching its neck over the water, the better to see some tasty fish. I like to watch their necks undulate when they are really intent on looking for whatever they look for. The water lilies have been sprayed and are now brown, but this has to be done to avoid blocking the flow of the canal, which goes all the way under the interstate and to Turner's creek and then to the Bay. Before the canal, the streets in this neighborhood would flood, but that was years ago. God is good!

From the Promise Bible NLT:

O Lord, hear me as I pray
pay attention to my groaning.
Listen to my cry for help, my King and My God,
for I will never pray to anyone but you.
Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord.
Each morning I bring my requests to you
and wait expectantly.

O God, you take no pleasure in
wickedness;
You cannot tolerate the slightest sin.
Therefore, the proud will not be allowed
to stand in your presence,
for you hate all who do evil.
You will destroy those who tell lies.
The Lord detests murderers and deceivers.

Because of your unfailing love, I can enter
your house;
with deepest awe I will worship at your
Temple.
Lead me to the right path, O Lord,
for my enemies will conquer me.
Tell me clearly what to do
and show me which way to turn....

I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!

Love and hugs,
Amaryllis
