2 Corinthians

Good Monday Morning, dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! We have an overcast day today because of hurricane Ida, I think, with a windy day in store. Already the driveway and porch do not look like I blew all the acorns off Saturday! Sigh. Oh, well I knew it wouldn't last!

I actually saw a sleek, black gator sunning at the Park on the bank of the borrow pit lake, Friday. First time in a while that one has been at that spot near where the lady was attacked. On the other side, in the canal, a turtle was sunning himself and further on the great blue heron was looking for dinner, as usual. Lots of people were at the Park Saturday, picnicking and enjoying the beautiful weather. God is good!

2 Corinthians 4:8-10, 15-18

We are hardpressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken, struck down, but not destroyed--always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.

For all things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.

Therefore, we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment , is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!

Love and hugs,
Amaryllis
