Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! I am glad I am at home and not trying to get to work on the interstates. I saw on TV the burning tanker near Sun City, that had traffic completely blocked, so a lot of people will be late for work today, on this beautiful morning. ( I may have the location wrong.) Anyway, showers are predicted for sometime and I have two trips to make; one to pick up my new eyeglasses, and the other to the doctor's office.
I have been looking forward to getting new glasses, and was told they would be ready in a week. Since it had been almost two weeks, I called and they had been ready since the 4th. I was supposed to have been called, but never got the message.Oh, well, better late than never.
I did laundry yesterday, and once again, worked on cleaning out closets. Amazing how clothes accumulate and I always think, well, if I lose a little weight, this will fit...Ain't gonna happen! So, out it goes! Also, it's time for shoes to go, too. Too many that I haven't worn for years. I think I need just a touch of OCD!
I took a drive to the park and saw squirrels scampering...they are never still, and a few cars, but mostly it was just ranger trucks for their meeting . Lots of butterflies are buzzing around the butterfly garden at the park and here at home. Yesterday, a very large yellow with black-edged wings butterfly fluttered by my window, with a smaller one right behind it. They are lovely. God is good
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Jeremiah 29: 11
For I know the plans I have for you," says
the Lord. "They are plans for good and not
for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
In those days, when you pray, I will listen. If
you look for me in earnest, you will find me
when you seek me."
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving,
joy and hope.

Jeremiah
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! Today is a carbon copy of yesterday, and will probably be the same tomorrow. Sunshine, beautiful white clouds and a slight breeze. We had no rain the past 24 hours, so that is a change, but the gutters are still holding water in some areas in the streets, and all the retention ponds are full. That is good!
I drove the van to the car wash yesterday, and when I got home I cleaned off the windows and cleaned it up a bit inside, so, right now, it looks good. Usually, the rains come, right after I wash the car. But not this time!
My yard men came yesterday and so right now, the yard looks trim, but the guy next door does not mow his yard every week and right next to mine, it looks very overgrown. He has plenty of time, but just does not like to work outside, I guess.
I cruised in to the Park on my way out to the car wash, and saw a pretty white egret in the middle of the green growth in the canal, and a cute squirrel sat up on his hind legs with the white belly showing, right in the path of my wheels, I swerved and he moved, like they most always do. Not many people were out, but it was shady and cooler and peaceful. God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Jeremiah 9:23,24
This is what the Lord says, "Let not the wise man
gloat in his wisdom, or the mighty man in his might,
or the rich man in his riches. Let them boast in this
alone; that they truly know me and understand that
I am the Lord who is just and righteous, whose love
is unfailing, and that I delight in these things. I, the
Lord, have spoken."
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving,
joy and love!

Easin' thru Ephesians
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! We are starting out with lots of sunshine but later on we will probably have a shower or two.
I was admiring the towering clouds yesterday, with all different shapes, during the formation of the afternoon thunder storm. The sky was so blue and the clouds so white! I would have taken a picture, but was driving.
Well, I watched sports Saturday. The Belmont Stakes with American Pharoah making history, then the Lightning winning on their way to the Stanley Cup. And yesterday afternoon I saw the Rays win in Seattle with Chris Archer making baseball history with 10 strikeouts in three games and no walks! He's just a young guy and has a baby face.
In between times, I got all my ironing done...yay, me!, shopped at CVS and received a 10 dollar gift card for spending over $30, so I was rewarded for shopping!
We had a really good sermon preached yesterday, then I went to Boston Market for dinner, and after eating , took a good long nap..something I rarely do, but it was good.
I watched a mockingbird on top of the neighbor's flag pole, just singing his little heart out, and then a bluejay picking up something off the driveway. I threw out some peanuts for the squirrels, but I think the bluejays got them instead. Oh, well, God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Ephesians 5:15-20
So be careful how you love, not as fools but
as those who are wise. Make the most of every
opportunity for doing good in these evil days.
Don't act thoughtlessly, but try to understand
what the Lord wants you to do. Don't be drunk
with wine because that will ruin your life. Instead,
let the Holy Spirit fill and control you. Then you
will sing psalms and hymns and spiritual son among
yourselves, making music to the Lord in your hearts.
And you will always give thanks for everything to
God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving,
joy and love!

Easin' thru Ephesians
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! Another day with lots of sun, very warm temps and rain predicted maybe later on. Bring it on!
I had a fairly busy day yesterday and was tired by the time evening came. I was 2 1/2 hours at the salon getting my hair done, then went to the library, came home and did two loads of laundry, but I still have not emptied the dryer of towels...I was happy to sit down later on!
But I did take time to visit the Park and smile at the antics of a squirrel family playing together. There were about 4 of them, but they were moving so fast, it was hard to count them. Then, coming by Lynch Lake, on the way home, I saw a very large gray pelican sitting on a storm drain, preening himself. They are very rarely seen on a mostly fresh water lake( or maybe brackish), like Lynch. And the birds, mockers and jays, have been so noisy in the mornings. It is such a happy sound to hear the birds singing! God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Ephesians 3:14-
When I think of the wisdom and scope of God's plan, I fall to my knees and pray
to the Father, the Creator of everything, in heaven and on earth.
I pray that from his glorious , unlimited resources he will
give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit. And I pray
that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts
as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the
soil of God's marvelous love. And may you have the power
to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long,
how high, and how deep his love really is. May you experience
the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand
it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power
that comes from God.
Now glory be to God! By his mighty power at work within us
he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever
dare to ask or hope. May he be given glory in the church
and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless ages.
Amen
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving,
joy and love!

Psoaring thru Psalms
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! Lots of sunshine and the puffy clouds again today and temps are supposed to climb to near 90 again! Summer is here!
I decided to venture out to get gas in the van yesterday, and was a little dismayed to see that it has gone up again. Well, if I want to drive, I have to pay, so that's the way it goes.
So, after all the hoopla and talk and headlines, the Lightning lost. I watched the game for a while, but I don't know much about hockey, and usually can't even follow the puck, but lots of people are really into it. I was hoping the Bolts would win, but did not stay up to see them lose. So, another game coming up, and hopefully they will win this one. Since the Rays are playing at 10. PM in California, I did not even watch them. One good thing..the Lady Gators softball team won the championship again, so yay for them!
My cleaning ladies came yesterday and told me that the single lady who lived down the street had died and apparently was not discovered for a couple days. That is so sad, that she had no family to check on her.
Brian calls me every evening on his way home, and if I don't call Daryl around 7:30, he calls me every day, so they keep in pretty close touch.
As I drove around in the park, yesterday, I saw the busy squirrels, but the ibis, and egrets were at Lynch Lake and not the Park. Early morning is the time to see all the water fowl getting breakfast, but I am not over there early any more. But God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Psalm 15
Who may worship in your sanctuary, Lord?
Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?
Those who lead blameless lives,
and do what is right, speaking the truth
from sincere hearts.
Those who refuse to slander others
or harm their neighbors
or speak evil of their friends.
Those who despise persistent sinners,
and honor the faithful followers of the Lord,
and keep their promises even when it hurts.
Those who do not charge interest on the
money they lend, and who refuse to accept
bribes to testify against the innocent.
Such people will stand firm forever.
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving,
joy and love!

Time
Good Morning, Dear friends and Prayer Partners! this is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! After the drizzle all day yesterday, we have blue skies with white puffy clouds here and there, and it promises to be a very warm day.
I ran some errands in spite of the rain and did a bank run, and then decided to go to the park to see if there was any activity in the sprinkle. I only counted seven cars, and some of them belonged to the rangers and the teacher, but no animal activity or humans walking. It was peaceful and fairly quiet, and very green from all the rain we have had. So I came home, did a few chores and read , instead of doing my ironing, which is still waiting.
But I did see activity around Lynch Lake...a gorgeous roseate spoonbill was perched on the side of the bank, not doing much, except looking beautiful. My favorite color! And a few ducks and ibis, were not far away. God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, 14,15
There is a time for everything;
a season for every activity under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.
A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to rebuild.
A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance.
A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a time to turn away.
A time to search and a time to lose.
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
A time to tear and a time to mend.
A time to be quiet and a time to speak up.
A time to love and a time to hate....
And I know that whatever God does is final. Nothing can be added
to it or taken from it. God's purpose in this is that people
should fear him. Whatever exists today and whatever will
exist in the future has already existed in the past. For God
calls each event back in its turn.
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!

Roamin' thru Romans
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! No sunshine yet today, instead there is rain dripping off the roof. The sky was overcast when I had my breakfast, but now, I see the rain falling. But that's okay because it keeps the temp. down.
I ran some errands yesterday, including grocery shopping. It was one of those times when shopping at Publix was not a pleasure. Before I even got in the store, a handicap police guy stopped and told me something, I had to go to his suv to hear what he said. I had put the sunscreen up in the windshield and he said he could not see the handicap hangar. So I told him it was there and pulled it out and showed him. I hung it back and he circled around and stopped in front this time. and said he could not see it. So I had to unlock the car and stick it down the front of the shield to satisfy him. Sheesh!! It did nothing for my mood!
So I went on to do my shopping and discovered that they are changing groceries around. I had my list with me and got what was on the list, except for one item, which was not in its usual place. I saw a lady with a Publix pin on her shirt and asked her, so she went on a hunt and found the item way back on the side where I had already been. Well, at least I got my exercise, by walking the whole store back and forth. I was glad to get home, only to find the city had come by and left the big blue recycle dumpster on the driveway. It is very cumbersome, and I had a difficult time dragging it back to where the regular dumpster is. I don't even think they will start picking up until July and then I will have to figure out how to get it down to the curb.Oh, well, life is full of challenges!
I saw egrets and a wood stork at Lynch Lake as I drove by. They were in the shade, so maybe birds get hot, too. But God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Romans 5:1-5
Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight
by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ
our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has
brought us into this place of highest privilege where we now
stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to
sharing God's glory.
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials,
for we know that they are good for us--they help us learn
to endure. And endurance develops strength of character
in us and character strengthens our confident expectation
of salvation. And this expectation will not disappoint us.
For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has
given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
