Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! Blue skies and clouds and there was a red sky at sunrise. "Red sky at night, sailors delight! Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning." An old saying from scripture. In this case, though, I don't think the sky was that red...just a glow. But it promises to be a warm, humid day, with no rain predicted.
Yesterday, I hustled to get up to CVS before my cleaning ladies came, so I skipped lunch until I came back home. I had just finished my strawberries and ice cream, when they rang the doorbell. Kim was excited to tell me about a website where you can order clothes from a personal shopper and send back what you don't want. Sounds interesting, but I like to see what I am buying. And Cheryl was interested in my new computer, since she just had to buy a new one because her old one crashed. She has Windows 10, as I have and neither one of us likes it. Sigh.
Well, I have some things to do before Daryl and Matthew get here early tomorrow morning, so I had better get on with it!
All my azaleas are gone, but the amaryllis are still blooming , and the jacaranda trees are showing more blooms in the neighborhood. Always lots of color! God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Psalm 18:23-30
To the faithful, you show yourself faithful;
to those with integrity you show integrity.
To the pure you show yourself pure,
but to the wicked you show yourself hostile.
You rescue those who are humble, but
you humiliate the proud.
Lord, you have brought light to my life;
my God, you light up my darkness.
In your strength I can crush an army.
with my God I can scale any wall.
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!
Love and hugs,

The Benefits of Wisdom
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! "Sunshine on my shoulders, makes me happy!" as John Denver sang. We have bright, sunshine today after a few overcast days. It is brilliant, and also cooler than it has been. But the temp is supposed to climb up to the eighties today, so we will be very warm later on!
We had some really loud, noisy storms yesterday, and lots of rain, so I was content to stay in, read and do other things indoors.Brian came back from his mini-retreat later in the afternoon, so he came by and got my ipad connected to the internet again, and brought some roadside strawberries. They look really good, but I have not tasted them yet.Looks like I will have strawberry shortcake, soon.
Daryl and Matthew are coming down for the weekend to take Brian's old car back to TN. I told Daryl that the Christmas lights would not be up. That's the only time they come.
But it will be good to see them! We will celebrate Daryl's birthday a few days early, since his birthday is April 6.
I have been hearing lots of birds singing lately, so it must be nesting time..such a happy sound.
God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Proverbs 2:1-12
My child, listen to me and treasure my
instructions. Tune your ears to wisdom
and concentrate on understanding. Cry out
for insight and understanding. Search for
them as you would for lost money or hidden
treasure. Then you will understand what it
means to fear the Lord and you will gain
knowledge of God. For the Lord grants wisdom!
From his mouth come knowledge and under-
standing. He grants a treasure of good sense
to the godly. He is their shield, protecting
those who walk with integrity. He guards the
paths of justice and protects those who are
faithful to him.
Then you will understand what is right, just,
and fair , and you will know how to find the
right course of action every time. For wisdom
will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill
you with joy. Wise planning will watch over
you. Understanding will keep you safe.
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and Love!

A Benediction
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! Yes, it is still morning for another hour! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! We had one minute of sun and now all is overcast. There is a huge blob of rain clouds moving in from the Gulf, which is due to hit here sometime this afternoon. I should have been a lot quicker about getting things done this morning, so I could go out and run some errands. Oh, well, I will get things done sooner or later!
I was thinking about the busy past weekend and how much I enjoy people watching. From the man at the cemetery, who was busy preparing a bouquet for a grave, (he looked like he might have been a former serviceman) to the people in the restaurants...I just find interesting people to look at. It seems like mini-skirts are back and are not always suitable for the women who wear them. This was proven by the one who was directly in my line of sight at the Hangar, sitting with her legs crossed! I saw a lady leave church wearing shorts on Easter Sunday. I am not being judgmental; I think it doesn't matter who wears what to church as long as they are there. I was just a little surprised, because it has been my experience that people tend to "dress up" for Easter. And I am sure that Jesus knows what is in the heart, no matter what is on the outside!
We have lots of flowering trees around the neighborhood, now. I am not sure of the names, but they look like Florida orchid trees, pink and white, and the bougainvillea bushes are outstanding this year with all their colors! This is a beautiful time of the year! God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Jude 24, 25
A Prayer of Praise
And now, all glory to God, who is able to
keep you from stumbling and who will
bring you into his glorious presence
innocent of sin and with great joy. All
glory to him , who alone is God our Savior,
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Yes, glory,
Majesty, power and authority belong to him,
in the beginning, now and forevermore.
Amen
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving , joy and love!

Easter Monday
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! It rained sometime during the night and we have overcast skies now, with more showers predicted sometime during the day. But the weather is quite warm!
Yesterday was a glorious Easter Sunday! Brian attended his church's 8 AM service, then he came over to go to church with me at 11. We listened to a powerful sermon and lots of singing proclaiming Christ is Risen! There was a crowd in attendance which is expected at Easter.
Brian had made reservations for us at The Hangar Afterwards,, which was a good thing, because they were really crowded! The menu was brunch style and we had plenty to choose from! We had a good table right beside the windows, so we could see the water and the planes. After we finished our main dinner, we went back to the salad/dessert bar to choose more food. the Executive Chef came out of the hot kitchen, to stand beside the door, and we both complimented him on the fine lunch he had prepared...He was very young to be in charge, but very capable.
Saturday, Brian came over and did some things for me...catching up on the check book, tuning up my new computer, trying to get my ipad and iphone to stay connected with WIFI, and then we bought a lily and took it out to Bay Pines cemetery to place it on Louis' grave. It was quiet and beautiful there, with a soft wind blowing. Afterward, we went across the street and had supper at the new Village Inn. St was a full day! Brian is off on a mini retreat for a couple days. He has been working really long hours at the bank and solving lots of challenging issues, so he was ready!
I have noticed since my azaleas are slowing dropping their blooms, that now the jacaranda trees are starting to bloom and I have amaryllis blooming!! I did not have any last year, but one is in full bloom with four flowers on the stalk and two more are almost ready to open! God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Psalm 139:1-6
O Lord, you have examined my heart
and know everything about me.
You know when I sit down or stand up.
You know my every thought when far away.
You chart the path ahead of me
and tell me where to stop and rest.
Every moment you know where I am.
You know what I am going to say
even before I say it, Lord
You both precede and follow me.
You place your hand of blessing on my head.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too great for me to know!
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!

Good Friday
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! I looked at the radar on TV and saw a mass of clouds heading this way, so we have overcast skies. I heard thunder about midnight last night and this morning the porch was wet. so this looks like the start of a very wet Easter weekend.
I am later than usual today because my friend Gil installed a new computer for me yesterday and I lost my entrance to gmail somehow, so I just decided to figure out how to get it back and did all by myself! Well. with a little help from my iphone! Like I said before, I am electronically challenged.
Thinking it was going to rain yesterday, I drove to Winn Dixie and loaded up on fresh fruit...strawberries 2 for 1, bananas, and pineapple chunks. I also bought a few peaches and other things. They were loaded with flowers of all kinds, including lots of Easter lilies. Very beautiful!
As I was coming back by Lynch Lake, I saw the usual ducks, lots of ibis, and several anhingas. God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Luke 11:33-36
Receiving the Light
No one lights a lamp and then hides it or
puts it under a basket. Instead, it is put on a
lampstand to give light to all who enter the
room. Your eye is a lamp for your body. A pure
eye lets sunshine into your soul. But an evil eye
shuts out the light and plunges you into darkness.
Make sure that the light you think you have is
not really darkness. If you are filled with light, with no
dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant;
as though a floodlight is shining on you.
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!

Psoaring thru Psalms
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! We have clouds covering the sun, which was shining an hour or so ago, but rain is predicted for today, although it will stay warm. I took the winter blanket off the bed today, since I slept comfortably last night without it, even though there was a brilliant full moon(which usually affects my sleep!)
Since I knew rain was predicted for the next few days, I decided to drive on out to Walmart to gas the van up. I don't like it to get below half a tank. Murphy's was not very busy, but the usual crowd was filling the parking lot for the Walmart. Gas was up to 1.96 per gal. there, and a few cents higher at other stations. It hasn't reached $2.00 a gal. yet, but probably will soon. As usual, traffic was heavy on US 19, but I made it home safely.
After I came home, I gathered up my books and returned all but one to the library. I am still reading one, and now have started on a new 14 day book. They had a big sign to read as I walked in, all about rules, changes and stuff. They are trying to make it a better library...a big job!
Later on, I visited the Park, which was pretty busy with dog walkers, and people walkers. I saw a white egret beak to beak with a gray egret, just looking each other over. God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Psalm 25:1-5
To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul.
I trust in you, my God!
Do not let me be disgraced,
or let my enemies rejoice in my defeat.
No one who trusts in you will ever be
disgraced,
but disgrace comes to those who try to
deceive others.
Show me the path where I should walk,
O Lord;
point out the right road for me to follow.
Lead me by your truth and teach me,
for you are the God who saves me.
All day long I put my hope in you.
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!

Love Fulfills God's Requirements
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! We have lots of sun and no wind and the temp is slowly creeping up as the humidity comes back. It will probably be our next to last nice day before the rains come for this Easter weekend.
I took a heavy traffic drive out to my dentist's yesterday for my six months teeth cleaning. It took me a full thirty minutes to get to the Tyrone area from my home, even though the speed limit was 45 most of the way! I got stuck behind a city bus the last mile or so, but still made my appointment on time.
Danielle, my hygienist, handed me a form to fill out, which has to be done every so often, and as I was doing that, a delivery man came in, remarked about always paper work, and breezed in to the desk with a package. He had such a positive attitude, I wished him a good rest of the day and he said "It just keeps getting better and better!" I don't know who he was but he was like a ray of sunshine and brightened up my day!
After an hour on the recliner, with my jaw getting tired, and the teeth bright and shiny, I drove across to Crosswinds Shopping Center, but decided I was too tired to go in and shop, so came on home to find Cheryl just packing up her van after cleaning while I was gone. When I walked in I checked my phone and discovered a text from Daryl asking if I was watching the Rays play in Cuba. I was glad he reminded me, because I got to watch the last couple innings. There was so much talking because of the historic occasion, it was boring to listen to , but I enjoyed the actual playing. Go Rays!
Coming home, I stopped in at the Park, and it was packed once again, because of the beautiful weather! I saw lots of ibis around Lynch Lake and the yards of the school. God is good!

for others. You can never finish paying that!
If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill all
the requirements of God's law. For the

and stealing and coveting----and any other

commandment: "Love your neighbor as yourself."

all of God's requirements.

Roamin' thru Romans
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! Sure enough! I put the winter blanket back on the bed last night and it felt good! We didn't get as cold as was predicted, but still the house cooled down and my long sleeved pj's felt just warm and cozy. We have red flag warnings about the extremely dry air today, which means fire chances are very high. Fortunately, the weather will warm up tomorrow and the humidity will return.
I had a call from my cleaning friend this morning, wanting to change my day from tomorrow to today because she will be working alone since Kim is baby sitting her two grandkids. Since I will be at the dentist when she comes, she knows how to get in, so she will have the house to herself. My yard guys did not come yesterday, so I am hoping for them to show up today, since the porch is piled with leaves after the strong winds of yesterday and Sunday. I swept a path clear from the front door to the walk, so leaves would not get tracked in, but this is difficult because of my imbalance. (Physical, not mental!)
I went to CVS yesterday to pick up some OJ and a few other things and steered clear of the pharmacy area because several people were waiting to get into the clinic and I could hear coughing. I know a lot of that is allergies, but I did not want to be exposed..
I watched DWTS last night and was amazed at the deaf model who danced so well without being able to hear a thing! He is so good, I really hope he wins! Some of the so called "stars" are definitely not. I never even heard of a lot of them!
Lots of ducks, and ibis were gathered around Lynch Lake when I drove around it, and the Park was full of cars...some were from out of state...NY, NC, Oh, etc, but a lot were from Fl. Since it is spring break time here, and the weather was nice, people were taking advantage of it. God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Romans 5:1-5
Therefore, since we have been made right
in God's sight, by faith, we have peace with
God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord
has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ
has brought us into this place of highest
privilege where we now stand, and we con-
fidently and joyfully look forward to sharing
God's glory.
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems
and trials, for we know that they are good for
us----they help us learn to endure. And endurance
develops strength of character in us, and character
strengthens our confident expectation of
salvation. And this expectation will not dis-
appoint us. For we know how dearly God loves
us because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill
our hearts with his love.
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!

The Tree and It's Fruit
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it !We have a chilly wind and the temp is still in the fifties, so it looks like winter is having a last gasp at the beginning of this Holy Week.
We really had a downpour, Saturday. I had an appointment to get my hair done at noon, and left the house in the rain, got a little wet getting out of the car and into shelter, because it is not possible to carry an umbrella and push a walker at the same time. When I was ready to leave, my stylist walked me out to the van with a large golf umbrella, so I did not get her handy work wet! I was grateful for her thoughtfulness!
After a powerful Palm Sunday sermon, I drove home with a van full of pollen and seeds from the oak trees I parked under. What a mess! The car had gotten a good washing in the rain on Sat. but some of the pollen is still on the windshield. Sigh.
I was looking forward to watching The Passion last night and was not disappointed. It was very unusual the way the modern songs related to Christ's death and the events leading up to it. I don't know whether Tyler Perry is a believer or not, but he certainly gave that impression the way he read the story. The actor who played the part of Jesus was very effective, too, I thought. The sound is always important to me, because I have difficulty distinguishing words if they are not enunciated clearly. I had no problem with understanding the songs, which was unusual since it was live and outside. It did not appear to be lip sync.
From the pics I have seen. looks like gators have hatched out at Sawgrass Park. I am not tempted to walk to see them with all the pollen around there. But I enjoy the anhingas and the ducks and seagulls that gather around Lynch Lake! God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Luke 6:43-45
A good tree can't produce bad fruit.
and a bad tree can't produce good
fruit. A tree is identified by the kind of
fruit it produces. Figs never grow on
thornbushes or grapes on bramble
bushes. A good person produces
good deeds from a good heart and an
evil person produces evil deeds from
an evil heart. Whatever is in your
heart determines what you say.
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!

Prowling thru Proverbs
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! The wind has picked up but there is lots of sun so far. Still, the prediction is for sweater weather late this weekend, maybe Monday, so I guess I will have to put the winter blanket back on the bed and turn off the A/C.
I keep hearing lots of birds chirping, so the mockers must be really happy. The bluejays never look happy and they don't sing like the mockingbirds. Speaking of birds, I mistakenly called the Thunderbirds Blue Angels yesterday. A segment on Fox TV this morning gave a brief history of the planes and how many crew members it takes to keep them flying..mechanics, etc. My great-niece is one of these important people stationed at Eglin.
Sad news this morning, as Officer Kotfila's services are being held at a large Catholic church in Tampa. He is the young man who cut in front of a woman to save her from a car going the wrong way on the expressway. He was killed in the head on crash as was the other driver. He died a hero, but it was so unnecessary! I will be sure to watch the services at 1 PM today.
Yesterday, I visited my podiatrist, who told me I had arthritis in both big toes. Ouch! He also sold me a pair of Orthoheel sandals at half price and they feel very comfortable! God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Proverbs 2:1-8
My child, listen to me and treasure my
instructions. Tune your ears to wisdom , and
concentrate on understanding. Cry out for
insight and understanding. Search for them as
you would for lost money or hidden treasure.
Then you will understand what it means to fear
the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God.
For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth
come knowledge and understanding. He grants
a treasure of good sense to the godly . He is
their shield, protecting those who walk with
integrity. He guards the paths of justice and
protects those who are faithful to him.
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! This is an overcast day, which is too bad because the MacDill A. F. air show is this weekend and the Blue Angels are flying in today. This always attracts hundreds and it will be a shame if no one can see the planes and paratroopers.
Well, I am wearing the only green T-shirt I own, since I am half Irish on my mother's side! This goes back only a couple generations, according to my grandmother's Bible. My other half is German on my father's side. What a mixture! BTW, The Google logo is quite clever today!
Yesterday, I went to Optical Outlets to get new nose pieces for one pair of glasses and to get the glasses I got last year adjusted. I have never been able to wear them because they gave me a headache, so I wore them all afternoon and evening and was able to read comfortably. However, they are heavier than what I am used to, so I will have to be examined soon and get another pair lighter in weight. I am blessed that my eyesight has not changed much for the past few years. I only get new glasses for the frame change.
While I was at that shopping center I walked next door to the Artisan Bread store, but I was disappointed in the small amount of bakery goods they had and the high prices. I was looking for a cinnamon roll (my favorite) but they had none. I think Perkins has the best ones, but Panera is a close second!
Well, my azaleas are in full bloom, as are the others around town, and spring is officially starting Sunday. I saw two anhingas airing out their feathers at Lynch Lake and I wrote about the messy park yesterday. Well, the maintenance man was blowing the leaves off the circle drive when I drove through, so maybe he did a lot more. Back a few years ago when I walked there every day the first thing the workers did, after mopping the building floors was to blow off leaves from all the roads. My, how things have changed! But God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Matthew 7:24-33
Keep on asking, and you will be given what you
ask for. Keep on looking, and you will find.
Keep on knocking and the door will be opened.
For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who
seeks, finds. And the door is opened to everyone
who knocks. You parents---if your children ask
for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone
instead? Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them
a snake? Of course not! If you sinful people know
how go give good gifts to your children, how much
more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to
those who ask him.
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, with thanksgiving, joy and love!
Love and hugs,
Amaryllis

Psoaring thru Psalms
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! Yes, it is still morning by a little over an hour. I have had a very slow PC, so I was a little delayed. It is still overcast, but I think that may be fog and clouds, because it is still very warm and blue sky is peeking through in spots.
My cleaning ladies came yesterday instead of their usual time on Wed. They said they have a l lot of cancellations This week, which may be due to spring break, but it doesn't matter much to me when they come, as I am usually flexible. I stayed home and did laundry, and only got out in the afternoon. I drove to the messy park, which has the circle road almost completely covered with leaves. This is not a good place to get out of the car if allergies are bothersome as mine have been this year!
Well, I am glad for the quiet after the election. I have been getting so many robocalls that I do not answer, it will be good not to have the home phone ringing at meal times! But God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Psalm 139:17-19,23,24
How precious are your thoughts about me,
O God!
They are innumerable!
I can't even count them;
they outnumber the grains of sand!
And when I wake up in the morning,
you are still with me!
Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my thoughts.
Point out anything in me that offends you
and lead me along the path of
everlasting life.
I give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!
Love and hugs,
Amaryllis

voting day
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! We must have had a sprinkle earlier, because water was standing on the recycle bin when I put more stuff in it. I know there was a heavy fog and the Skyway bridge was closed because of it. But the sun is bright now, so the fog must be burning off,
I was able to get to Publix yesterday for some fresh fruits and veggies, and forgot bananas which I wanted. Oh, well, Maybe I will get to Sav-a-Lot for those. I had another helpful person reach some pineapple down for me from a high shelf. I would have asked one of the workers in the back but this lady offered to do it for me. She had longer arms! I also bought some cut up mango slices and nice strawberries! Yum! It was a successful shopping trip!
Coming back by Turner Creek, I saw the osprey adding to the nest high in the airl The nest is not very big, yet and usually, they are very sloppy, so this one has a way to go before it is finished. I saw an anhinga with wings outstretched by Lynch Lake drying off in the sunshine.
God is good!
As people go to vote today I hope they remember that God is Sovereign and is always in control...
From the Promise Bible NLT:
2 Chronicles 7:14
Then if my people who are called by my name
will humble themselves and pray and seek my
face and turn from their wicked ways, I will
hear from heaven and will forgive their sins
and heal their land..
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!

2 Peter
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! We had a little rain a couple hours ago, and I heard the rain before I went to bed last night, which was welcome, because now maybe the pollen will be settled! The wind is blowing and it is still overcast, but according to the forecast, we are over the rain. He (the weatherman)called the atmosphere "juicy". Meaning humid. That's funny to me! Now the sun is shining, so it will be a great day!
The Grand Prix is over. The PGA Tournament is over, so I"m sure the interstate was crowded with people heading home last night. But we still have the Rays in spring training and soon the season will open, so there is still plenty of activity in my town.
We had another good service yesterday, even though attendance was down a bit, due to Stake out for the Youth, which took quite a few away and the time change which may have affected a couple people. I found a parking space right away, so that was another way I could tell that attendance was down.
A dear friend came over to me before church and reminded me that they are available to help me in any way should I need it, which was a very kind thing to offer! The service ended with the song "Breathe" which is my favorite! God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
2 Peter 5-9
So make every effort to apply the benefits
of these promises to your life. Then your
faith will produce a life of moral excellence.
A life of moral excellence leads to knowing
God better. Knowing God leads to self-control.
Self control leads to patient endurance, and
patient endurance leads to godliness. Godliness
leads to love for other Christians, and finally,
you will grow to have genuine love for everyone.
The more you grow like this, the more you will
become productive and useful in the knowledge
of our Lord Jesus Christ. But those who fail to
develop these virtues, are blind or, at the least
very shortsighted. They have already forgotten
that God has cleansed them from their old life of sin.
I always give thanks for you,. remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!

Psoaring thru Psalms
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! It is another windy day, but sunny and very warm. Yesterday it got up to eighty and today will be the same, if not warmer. I think of the golf tournament going on and while the wind may be a factor in how the golfers play, the heat might also affect them.
I still have my A/C on and as a result, my allergies are much better.
My cleaning ladies came yesterday and caught me up on the neighborhood news. They always look out for me. I gave them each a chocolate bunny for their Easter presents and they were delighted.
My new computer has been ordered and I should have it March 31st. My friend, Gil, took care of research on it and I am getting what looks like a good one from Walmart, which is where this one came from 7 years ago! So it will mean straining my poor brain learning the new "puter!
What with the ipad and iphone, this electronically challenged person has a lot of brain work to do!
I heard one of the squirrel family fussing yesterday, so I am thinking that the stray cat who wanders around the neighborhood was too close to the tree. Actually, the cat is one of three which belong to a man in the next block. He does not take care of them, but just lets them wander all over. I think the birds look out for them, also. I saw a mockingbird hopping through the hedge next door, but he was well protected by all the branches. God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Psalm 106:1-3
Praise the Lord!
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!
His faithful love endures forever.
Who can list the glorious miracles of the Lord?
Who can ever praise him half enough?
Happy are those who deal justly with others
and always do what is right.
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!
Love and hugs,

Roamin' thru Romans
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! This is another breezy, sunny, and pollen filled day with temps going up in the eighties today. I turned the A/C on yesterday evening and, as a result, my allergies are better!
I see the last of the oak leaves blowing past my window, since the wind has picked up, so next will come the little buds and then the bright green new leaves on the trees. Right now, they look stark and almost bare. Only the live oaks have their leaves on. Which is not to say that all other trees are bare...just the jacaranda and oaks around here.
Well, in case anyone noticed, I did not send a message yesterday, because I have been having problems with my desk top computer. My repair man says the hard drive is going out. I think my personal hard drive is also giving out.
Well, my yard guys came Monday, and the cleaning ladies are due today Yesterday. I stopped by the Audibel office and picked up some batteries for my aids, getting another compliment on my name from the new receptionist. I also visited the park and then went on to CVS. Coming back from there, I noticed an osprey perched high in the air on a new nest at Sawgrass Elem. School. The platform is built on one of the high pole lights. Lots of seagulls, ibis, and egrets were gathered around Lynch Lake on a beautiful day! God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Romans 8:28
And I am convinced that nothing can ever
separate us from his love. Death can't and life
can't. The angels can't and the demons can't.
Our fears for today; our worries about tomorrow.
and even the powers of hell can't keep God's
love away. Whether we are high above the sky
or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation
will ever be able to separate us from the love of
God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!

Roamin' thru Romans
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! We have another in our long list of beautiful days, with temps climbing up to the seventies and as high as the eighties in a couple days! While no rain is expected for the rest of the week, that still means that the pollen count is high, so i have been sneezing, blowing, and wheezing more than ever. I take Allegra as the doctor told me, and that helps some. However, I see lots of people on Facebook are having the same problem. Too many oak trees! And I have four in my yard!
I drove to the Disston Shopping Center Saturday, to do some shopping at Bon Worth, which I had not been to in a long time, and after the salesclerk spoke to me she asked if I were Amaryllis Green. I looked at her more closely, and discovered that she is the daughter of my friends who live down the street, and I have known her since she was a little girl. She has changed so much, I did not recognize her! Small world!
After I left there I went on to the Car Wash on 66th st. and had to wait in line while two pick up trucks got washed. One was a long bed and he got the deluxe wash with wax. The second just got the regular wash and then I got the quickie wash which got all the pollen off the car so now it is all nice and shiny for a little while.
We had another of Pastor Kevin's wonderful sermons yesterday , followed by Communion. Once again I had to wait for about ten minutes in the parking lot for a handicapped space to open up from first service. As I was leaving afterwards, walking down the ramp, two men with their walkers were waiting for their cars to come pick them up, so they made room for me to get through, while we chatted for a minute about the "walker parade". When I got to the car I saw a lady coming down the ramp with her walker, so we have an abundance of people who do not miss church because of minor disabilities.
Afterward, I drove to the busy Park, where lots of dog walkers, picnickers, and explorers were enjoying the beautiful day! God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Romans 8:35-36
Can anything ever separate us from Christ's
love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if
we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted
or hungry or cold or in danger or threatened with
death? ( Even the Scriptures say, "For your sake we
are killed every day. We are being slaughtered
like sheep") No, despite all these things, overwhelming
victory is ours through Christ , who loved us.
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!
Love and hugs,
Amaryllis
Love and hugs,
Amaryllis

Promised rest for God's People
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! Lots of sun and warm temps seems to be the forecast for the future. Well, except for a "cold front" which will mean lows of around 55 for a night or two, then we will zoom up to the high seventies or maybe eighty!
Meanwhile, in Cleveland, TN, Daryl said they had snow flurries and sleet yesterday...this is just 600 miles away! What a contrast! We are already having spring!
So this morning I tried to get my lab work done once again. When I got close to Quest, I saw about a dozen cars parked out front, which meant a large crowd inside, so it looks like I will have to try once again to make an appointment. I decided I would go on to CFA to get my breakfast, since that had been my plan, anyway.
After waiting about fifteen minutes in line, slowly creeping in the drive thru line, I came home with oatmeal and a fruit cup. The oatmeal is served with packets of brown sugar, assorted nuts and dried cherries, and the fruit cup was full of apples, with blueberries, Mandarin oranges and a couple pieces of strawberries. I really enjoyed the oatmeal, after adding milk, but I could do with a lot fewer pieces of apple in the fruit cup. I had my own orange juice and hot tea. As usual there was a long line in the drive thru and just about all the parking spaces were full! The 4th St. CFA is a busy place!
On the way there and back, I drove around Lynch Lake which was as still as a mirror, since there is no wind today. Ducks were placidly floating in a group and a few ibis and great white herons were waking up to a new day. God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Hebrews 4:12,13
For the word of God is full of living power.
It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting
deep into our innermost thoughts and desires.
It exposes us for what we really are. Nothing
in all creation can hide from him. Everything is
naked and exposed before his eyes. This is the
God to whom we must explain all that we have done.
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy,
and love!

Cruisin' thru Colossians
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! It's a little cooler than yesterday because the air is dryer, but the sun is out and the temp is warming up fast!
I got up later than usual this morning, for some reason. There was no reason to get up early, but it seems like part of the morning is wasted if I stay in bed past my usual time. Some people get out early, though. I already had a pair of Jehovah Witnesses knocking at my door while I was having my prayer time. I did not answer the door, but they slipped a card in which I have not even looked at. This was a husband and wife duo. I had a couple women come by just last month, and that time I spoke a few words with them and refused their literature. They are persistent!
I had Dave, the computer man, come and check out my PC yesterday, because it kept crashing on me, so after spending nearly an hour checking it out, he fixed it and did not charge me much. So, I will see if it works ok from now on. These electronic gadgets can be very annoying to me!
My cleaning ladies came yesterday and told me they had been to Sav-A-Lot just to check it out and were very pleased to find bananas at only .39 a pound, grapes very low priced and Kim bought a liter of diet cola for her husband for just 88 cents, which is less than half what he pays anywhere else! I may have to check it out one of these days..God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Colossians 3:23-25
Work hard and cheerfully at whatever you do,
as though you were working for the Lord
rather than for people. Remember the Lord
will give you an inheritance as your reward,
and the Master you are serving is Christ. But
if you do what is wrong, you will be paid back
for the wrong you have done. For God has no
favorites who can get away with evil.
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!

Psoaring thru Psalms
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! It's overcast and humid, but the temp is in the high sixties, so it will warm up later on and no rain is predicted. Right now the wind is blowing, so it is still a gorgeous day!
Surprise! My yard crew came yesterday, instead of Monday, and blew all the leaves into piles and then put them in the dumpster. My handy man raked up 9 bags a couple weeks ago, and I did not think my yard crew would do any more raking. Guess I was fooled! Anyway, it looked nice for a while, but now the leaves that are left on the trees are falling.
Also, later in the afternoon, the roof man came and inspected and could not find any cause for the leak in the flat roof. He sealed the ends of the shingles where the slant roof joins the flat one and said over all the roof should last me several more years. Yay! Good news!
I heard a loud mower close by while I was busy on the computer and went to the living room to see where the mowing was. I could not see anything, but later, Cheryl called and told me that the yard next door was mowed and edged. A young guy I have known since he was born lives there and does not care for his yard, so his mom came and hired a yard man to clean up the place. That is the best it has looked for a year or more!
Well, I saw a mocking bird sitting on the line this morning. It was such a contrast to see this lone wild bird sitting among all the wires and connections on that particular pole! God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Psalm 37:3-8
Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.
Take delight in the Lord
and he will give you your heart's desires.
Commit everything you do to the Lord,
Trust him and he will help you.
He will make your innocence as clear asthe dawn,
and the justice of your cause will shine
like the noonday sun.
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!

The Tree and It's Fruit
Good Morning, Dear Friends and Prayer Partners! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! Once again, we have ditto weather..same as yesterday! Blue skies, lots of sun and very little breeze. It will get up into the high seventies today and next week will be close to 80!
Well, on the not so good news front; I heard this morning that Gas prices are going up. When I heard that oil prices had gone up, I knew that gas prices would be right behind them. Well, It's been nice while it lasted. Of course, I can't complain; my total gas bill last month was $17.57.That was for half a tank, so I don't drive all that much.
Yesterday, I finally got over to the Library, and turned in three books and selected about 6 more.I was looking for another particular book, but I have never seen it on the shelves. I am very interested in stories about the Navy Seals, and there is an author who was a former seal and I have read his two fictional books with the same characters, but I think he has more and they are never available. Guess I will have to order them.I know I can always look them up on the internet.
So, after I finished at the Library, I moseyed on to the Park. Lots of out of state cars were there and the local cars all carried a fine coating of pollen. Yes, it is that time of year and my nose knows it! I am taking an allergy tablet nearly every day, and Brian has doubled his dosage.
I heard a squirrel fussing from the trees, but could not spy him, yesterday evening. Then I caught a glimpse of one of the cats that hang out in the neighborhood. They belong on the next street, but roam all over. There are three of them that I have seen. The squirrels definitely do not like them! But God is good!
From the Promise Bible NLT:
Luke 7:43-45
A good tree can't produce bad fruit, and
a bad tree can't produce good fruit. A tree
is identified by the kind of fruit it produces.
Figs never grow on thornbushes or grapes on
bramble bushes. A good person produces
good deeds from a good heart, and an evil
person produces evil deeds from an evil heart.
Whatever is in your heart, determines what you say.
I always give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers with thanksgiving, joy and love!
